Back september I stumbled upon a young aspiring director that was looking forward to creating a whole short film in just a couple of days. Of course, I couldn't resist.
The stakes were high, the budget was practically nill, but those - at the first glance - disadvantages helped to form a fast-paced mindset that allowed the team to make quick decisions right on the set. That might not always be the only way of solving problems like that, but it's a good team-building exercise.
The fighting scenes were just a breeze. Two takes. Thanks to global shutter that the BMCC4K uses, fast and wide optics from Samyang, bulky rig and, of course, the improv skills of the talents, we were able to blast through the fights real quick.
Unfortunately, there are no photographs from day one. Interestingly enough, this location is very close to the rental company that helped the production immensely!
